This is a retreat for you to detox from the “normal life”. In order for you to feel the shining crystal within you, it takes your willingness and compromise to do it. During the retreat you will have delicious vegan meals and fresh fruit juices and we highly recommend you to not drink coffee, alcohol or smoke in order to benefit the maxim from this retreat.
This Healing Retreat is an intensive and trans-formative experience taught by disciples of recognized international Schools.
You can stay at the eco resort Shiva Garden Homestay (accommodation is optional), starting each morning with cleansing and breathing exercises, meditation, mantras and invigorating Hatha Yoga session, and enjoying workshops and sequences focused on breathing, meditation, yoga, relaxation, reiki and coaching. And there’s plenty of time to take in the gorgeous beaches and the nearby ancient Indian Temples, receive ayurvedic massages or explore the town of Varkala.

Day 1 & 2: Reiki Level 1
Begin your journey by learning how to heal yourself, receive the reiki level 1 attunement, experience reiki on yourself and practice on others the amazing healing energy of reiki.
Day 3 & 4: Reiki Level 2
Learn the 2nd level of reiki, the 3 reiki symbols, receive the level 2 attunemnent and experience on yourself and practice on others how it is healing with the empowerment of the reiki symbols.
Day 5 & 6: Receive Indian Ayurvedic Massages
After 4 days on intensive reiki practice, indulge yourself in receiving 2 massages of 2h each with oil, healing herbs powder massage. You will leave floating like a feather. Have then a delicious vegan meal with sea view in one of the best restaurants on the cliff and relax the rest of the day.
By sunset we will guide you to a Sacred Spring to wash away unwanted energies.
Day 7: Kappil Beach & Backwaters Tour
After 6 days in a row on healing this is a day to rest and enjoy the wonderful landscapes of Kappil Beach and Varkala Backwaters, the beach and the surroundings.
You will attend the morning yoga and meditation classes and after the breakfast we will head to Kappil Beach. We will have a delicious lunch with sea view and on the afternoon, we will go to the backwaters, Golden Island and watch the sunset on a desert beach.
Day 8 & 9: Life Changing Seminar
There is no healing complete without understanding. This last 2 days will give you absolutely precious tools to assist you in understanding your own life and to help others in their path. Sonia will guide you through knowing yourself with the Astrology and Numerology for the group (does not include private sessions), and coach you to open the Path to the direction of your dreams.
6h to 8h am: Meditation and yoga class on the beach
8h to 10h: Free time
10h to 11h: Breakfast – Delicious vegan typical South Indian breakfast provided by Shiva Garden Restaurant
11h to 14h: Workshop

3 Certificates from Sonia Indigo Academy are awarded on successful completion of the Reiki Levels 1 & 2 and Life Changing Seminar.
At the end of the Healing Retreat, you’ll be eligible to to transform your life with a regular yoga and reiki practice and you’ll receive 3 certificates that are suitable for framing. This paraprofessional worldwide designation demonstrates that you’ve taken extra training in reiki, coaching, yoga and meditation techniques.
A sincere desire to learn and openness to healing techniques and spirituality is required.
We respect all religious and spiritual practices and are sensitive to all beliefs. This retreat works for all.
What to Bring: Comfortable sport clothes, sandals, notebooks, pen.
Attire: Dress casually and comfortably throughout the retreat. Bring sport clothes for the yoga practice. The temperature can be warm as we are in a tropical part of the country, so please bring light clothes.
Before the classes:
- Make sure you go to the toilet. You don’t want to lose a bit of these teachings;
- Arrive on time to insure that you are not stressed or anxious.
- Do not eat 2h before or drink 1h before the Yoga classes.
- For the yoga, meditation and reiki classes, take out all the accessories, earrings, bracelets, watch, rings, etc. If you have long hair, put your hair in a pony tail;
- Talk to the teacher if you are concerned about anything related with your your health state. Let us know if you are undergoing any medical treatment;
Trivandrum International Airport: The nearest airport is . From the airport you can reach Varkala by car, . train or bus, it’s about 50 km distance.. Takes 1h to reach. If you stay in Shiva Garden Home Stay, we can send a taxi to pick you up to our resort.
Cochin Airport: From Cochin to Varkala, you can take a train or a taxi (4h).
There are also Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai Airports (among others in India), that are quite far from Varkala. It can take one to two days for you to reach here.
WHAT IS REIKI
Reiki is an ancient form of healing, promoting wellness in the body as well as on subtler energy levels – including the mental, psychic and emotional.
In Japanese Reiki means Universal Life Force. It is a powerful noninvasive method.
When we experience disease or emotional stress, our life force energy lessens. By giving the body additional nurturing energy – Reiki can help to reduce stress, heal stress related conditions and acute and chronic illnesses.
This energy is accessible to you when you are attuned by a Reiki Master Teacher. I am one.
As you place your hands on specific areas and key energy centers of the person’s fully clothed body, she will receive a gentle infusion of beneficial energy. The effect is one of assisting her in doing whatever healing needs to be done, a balancing of energy and a heightened sense of well-being.
Once you have achieved a Reiki II Degree, you are able to use Reiki in your everyday life to help yourself, your family and friends. It can also be done long distance, on animals and to clear spaces.
Reiki supports all other healing and medical modalities and is an excellent preventive. It deals with the situation in an integral manner and so mind, body and spirit are simultaneously addressed. Psychic information can also come through during these sessions.
WHAT IS YOGA
Yoga is a physical, mental, and spiritual practice or discipline, that aims to transform body and mind.
A Hindu spiritual and ascetic discipline with 5000 years history, including breath control, simple meditation, and the adoption of specific bodily postures, is widely practiced for health and relaxation.
The word ‘yoga‘ comes from the Sanskrit root ‘yuj’, which means ‘to yoke’ the spirit and physical body together. It’s a scientific method for raising consciousness, great health and a blissful life.
It is also believed that emotions and memories of an event or trauma are stored in the body’s tissues. Stretching and manipulation of these tissues can release this energy and tension, so that emotions surface.
